How long does the closing business still need broadband?

Keep broadband for a defined remaining purpose, then review the proposed end date against that purpose. The office being quiet does not show that its connection is no longer needed. Equally, a task that once used the site may be able to continue elsewhere through a confirmed arrangement.

Ask the service provider and responsible technical person about the actual connection and agreement. This guide does not specify network changes, cancellation rights or a standard period to keep the service.

Sort the remaining uses

List the tasks and systems that people say still need the connection. Then use this test:

Proposed use Question to answer
Work performed at the site What confirmed task still needs the connection there?
Work expected to move elsewhere Has an authorised person tested the required access from that arrangement?
A site system or connected service Has the responsible provider confirmed its dependency and transition requirements?
Occasional later record enquiry Where will the information be accessible after the site service ends?

Do not decide a safety or security system’s needs from this administrative table. Refer it to the relevant competent provider. The alarm monitoring enquiry helps prepare the contact and occupancy questions without changing the system.

Prove the alternative for a real task

For a fictional example, a manager expects to answer supplier invoice queries from another office. Ask them to retrieve one actual authorised case through the proposed arrangement. If they can only find the supporting attachment on a site computer, the task has not moved successfully yet.

The software access readiness check identifies whether the missing item depends on a service subscription or records arrangement. Broadband continuation alone will not resolve an account that is about to close.

Keep the test limited to necessary information and approved access. Do not copy whole business accounts to a personal device merely to demonstrate that a task can move.

Propose the date with its conditions

Record the remaining site-dependent task, person responsible, expected completion and evidence needed to release that dependency. Take the proposed end date to the provider through the service enquiry process.

Ask which equipment or other account steps apply and who will confirm them. Do not presume a router belongs to the business or include it in a sale without authority.

If the proposed broadband change affects agreed sale administration or site activity, tell UK Auction Group the confirmed constraint. Arrange a named contact for any later change. The useful endpoint is a tested business arrangement and an authorised provider outcome, not simply the last day someone sits at the office desk.
